Spark

What Is Spark?

ASUW Spark is a competitive Idea-A-Thon where teams will work together to propose innovative solutions for one of the five campus-wide cases. Participating in Spark provides students with a unique opportunity to work closely with high-level administrators and have a say in real decisions affecting our campus.

Each team will contain up to six students and two administrators. Cases will be assigned based on the interests marked by team members when registering. The case your team has been assigned to, as well as a packet of background information and resources, will be emailed to you and your team members 48 hours before Spark begins. This allows you to begin brainstorming possible solutions before meeting with your administrative team members during the event.

At Spark, teams will have 90 minutes to work with their assigned administrative team members to choose one solution for their case to present. Three of the proposals will be chosen by a panel of judges to move forward with the possibility of implementation.

When Is Spark?

ASUW Spark is on Thursday May 25th, from 4:00-7:00pm in the HUB Lyceum – you must be able to attend the whole event to participate.

Food and drink will be provided.

How Can I Participate?

All students are encouraged to participate in ASUW Spark! The event is FREE and open to undergraduate, graduate, and professional students from all colleges and majors. Your unique husky experience is an invaluable resource when creating proposals for the Spark cases.

To participate you must register before 5 pm on May 23rd. You can either register as part of a Team (2-6 students total), or as an individual.
